INPEX Inventor Grand Prix Award Winners 2013Howdy everyone!

INPEX’s 28th annual show is officially over! On behalf of the INPEX staff, we would once again like to thank all of the inventors, business attendees, Inventors University™ speakers, product search companies and Open Innovation Conference participants for helping to make INPEX 2013 a wonderful show.

As always, the end of the show for us is bittersweet. We look forward to rest (at least our feet do), but at the same time, we enjoy meeting new people, and watching the connections being made. I saw our exhibitors exchanging business cards, phone numbers and even a few hugs last Friday at the awards ceremony, and as a staff, that’s what makes the previous year’s hard work worth it. We want our inventors to feel like they’ve left the show with new contacts and more knowledge and information than they came with.

Before the planning for our 2014 show gets underway, we wanted to take a moment to congratulate those who won awards at INPEX 2013! Aside from gold medals given to inventors in 44 different categories, these three inventors won the following top prizes:

  • Grand Prix Second Runner-up, a $2,000 cash prize, was awarded to Michael Curry, of Harrisonburg, VA, for Zip Grip Go
  • Grand Prix First Runner-up, a $3,000 cash prize, was awarded to a Taiwanese Inventor for his invention, The Shoe Insole and Orthotic Shoe
  • And the Grand Prix Award, a $7,500 cash prize, was awarded to Dave Galatte, of Wauconda, IL, for Tailgate Kitchen. The product is an innovative tailgating system incorporating a counter top, coolers and a propane grill. The system includes a travel rack for storing components and makes hosting tailgate parties easier.

A complete list of all of the award winners will be posted on the website shortly, so keep checking back for those at www.inpex.com.

We want to congratulate all of these winning inventors, as well as all of the inventors who attended INPEX 2013. We hope you enjoyed the show!

For those inventors still trying to decide whether to purchase a booth at INPEX 2013, I wanted to let you know that we only have 10 booth spaces left!

We have many exciting things planned for inventors this year, including our INPEX Inventors University™ each morning and an opportunity to meet with Scotty Ziegler and Reichart Von Wolfsheild, Hosts of the TV show, INVENTION USA, and INPEX 2013 keynote speakers!

Inventors who purchase a booth space are also qualified to meet with our private product search companies if your product fits with the company’s criteria. Schroeder & Tremayne, Rubbermaid, Danco, Hampton Direct, Irwin Tools, SkyMall, Plews & Edelmann, Reckitt Benckiser, Elmer’s and Kraft Food Groups have signed on to conduct private product searches with inventors at our 2013 show. QVC will also be at INPEX Friday, June 21, looking for retail-ready inventors for its QVC Sprouts Program. In addition to these companies, the Electronic Retailing Association (ERA) will be conducting a search for products that will be a good fit for the New Product Showcase at their annual show in Las Vegas in September.

If you are interested in exhibiting at INPEX 2013, contact an INPEX sales representative today at 888-54-INPEX or complete our online form before our available booth space is gone!
