Peter Antonacci Diva Feet Wins Inventor of the YearHello everyone!

Over the weekend, I returned home from Las Vegas and the ERA D2C 2013 show. I wanted to share all of the exciting details from this year’s event, since this is the 5th year that INPEX has partnered with the ERA to host the New Product Showcase.

As some of you may have seen from our social media sites, the 2013 “Inventor of the Year” is:

Peter Antonacci, for his invention, “Diva Feet.”

On Wednesday afternoon during show hours, every inventor in the New Product Showcase had the opportunity to present their product to a panel of members in the Learning Lounge. Inventors demonstrated their inventions and products to an expert panel, and panel members judged the inventors on the “pitchability” of their product while also providing them with valuable feedback. At the end of the pitch session, the top scoring inventors were told that they would get to see their products pitched on the D2C stage on Thursday during the Pitch By the Pros session.

This year’s professionals at the Pitch By the Pros session included Dave King, Chris Steele, Tracy Metro, Shannon O’Dowd, Nancy Sullivan and Darla Haun. Hosted by Tom Jourden, the Pros each took to the stage to pitch the top scoring products from the previous day.

The other four inventors who got to see their products pitched on stage by professional pitchmen and women were:

Hulda Sveins – Keilir Pillow

Annie Johnson – Tap Fit

Gary Shorter – Trans4mer

Rafael Montua – Pretty in a Minute

Peter was declared the winner, and he took home a trophy, as well as two complimentary tickets to the ERA Moxie Awards later that evening at the close of the show.

Congratulations to Peter, and all of the inventors who had their products pitched by the pros!

If you have a product that you think you might be able to sell on television, the InventHelp-INPEX New Product Showcase at Electronic Retailing Association’s (ERA) annual D2C show will be held September 24-26, 2013, at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas. This showcase will give inventors the opportunity to present their new products to companies in the direct response television industry.

During the three day show, inventors who have booked exhibit space in the New Product Showcase will attend educational seminars and present their product to a panel of direct marketers and retailers for a chance to be crowned, “Inventor of the Year.”

Also, the top five scoring inventors will have the chance to see their product pitched on stage by professional pitchmen & women in front of a live audience. Inventions are chosen based on DRTV pitchability and DRTV potential.

At INPEX 2013, several inventors were selected by panelists from the DRTV industry for an invitation to participate at D2C. Along with these inventors, we’re also inviting any inventor who thinks they have an appropriate product to contact us for more information. Inventors will need to fill out a vetting form about their invention so that experts from the DRTV industry can pre-qualify them to exhibit at the show.

I wanted to remind everyone that the booth space and product review appointment times are filling up fast for INPEX® 2011. OXO / OXO Tot – Their more than 850 products cover many parts of the home with categories including cooking and baking, organization, cleaning, and bath. OXO will be at INPEX® 2011 looking for new product ideas that complement and enhance their current line of products.

Procter & Gamble– The company has one of the strongest portfolios of trusted, quality, leadership brands, including Pampers®, Tide®, Ariel®, Always®, Whisper®, Pantene®, Mach3®, Bounty®, Dawn®, Gain®, Pringles®, Charmin®, and many more. Representatives will be at INPEX looking for products in the baby & family care, fabric care and home care lines.

SkyMall– multi-channel, direct marketer offering high-quality, innovative merchandise from top direct marketers and manufacturers, will be at INPEX® looking for a finalist for their 2011 holiday catalog.

Stanley Black & Decker– has a compelling history of delivering the hardworking, innovative, powerful tools that help professionals around the world build, repair, and protect the world’s most valuable things. Representatives from Stanley Black & Decker will be at INPEX® 2011 looking for new ideas and technologies for their existing product lines in hand tools, power tools, tool storage and power tool accessories.

Tupperware Brands– a global direct seller of innovative, premium products across multiple brands and categories through an independent sales force of over 2 million. Representatives from the company will be at INPEX® 2011 conducting product reviews for the newest ideas in housewares.

Reckitt Benckiser – One of the world’s largest producers of household personal care and consumer health care products. Its brands include Lysol, Finish, Air Wick, Strepsils, Mucinex, Durex, Clearasil, French’s, Veet, Calgon, Cillit Bang/Easy off, Vanish and many others.
