Sadly, the holidays are over, but plans for INPEX’s 2010 25th Anniversary Show are in full gear! With that being said, I’m pleased to announce that the following companies have agreed to conduct private product searches at the show:
Folks representing these companies will be looking for new and innovative ideas which include power tool inventions, household, electronic, apparel and personal care products. So this gives you, the inventor, the chance to present your product in front of these leading manufacturing companies for feedback about your invention.
Call 1-888-54-INPEX today to secure your booth space. Don’t miss this opportunity to possibly present your product to The Robert Bosch Tool Corporation, Church & Dwight and SkyMall!

Hello inventors!
I just returned home from the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. It was so great meeting some of you in the InventHelp-INPEX New Product Showcase at the ERA D2C Show. I enjoyed getting to see everyone’s inventions and prototypes. Many of you received some positive feedback from the ERA members who sat on our Pitchmen Competition Panel. I know many of the inventors mentioned to me how exciting it was to present your products to executives from companies like Guthy-Renker, LiveLink TV and QVC.
I hope that everyone who exhibited had a chance to sit in on the DRTV 101 class! Hopefully you learned something new about the direct response industry that you can take with you. And as some of you know, the crew from Discovery Channel’s Pitchmen was on site interviewing inventors for Season 2 of the series, so be sure to stay tuned for the premiere release date.
I also want to say congratulations to the following six inventors whose products were voted "Most Pitchable Products" by the direct marketers on our panel:
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the status of these and all the inventors who exhibited at the show.

Hello again inventors!
I’m excited to report that we have all returned home from Chicago after a productive week at the 2009 International Home & Housewares Show, at McCormick Place.
After attending this show for many years, I can still say I never grow tired of taking a look at all the new inventions and products on display. Everything from cleaning gadgets to supplies for keeping your food fresh always seem to catch my eye. And, speaking of keeping food fresh, that leads me to my next piece of news, the winners of our two panel reviews at the show this year.
The winner of our Direct Response Panel Review was Michael Tseng of San Francisco, California. His invention, the Plate Topper, is a cover that keeps food fresh by sealing itself over the top of a dinner plate. Michael was not only thrilled to take home a prize sponsored by Livemercial, but was also excited to have the award presented to him by Billy Mays and Anthony Sullivan, the stars of the new Discovery Channel show Pitchmen, which airs later this month. (Incidentally, Michael met Billy Mays four years ago while studying at Princeton. It was there that Billy gave him feedback about his invention; improvements that Michael worked to incorporate, which he feels helped make the Plate Topper the product it is today!)
Ed Ferencik of Reno, Nevada took home the prize from SkyMall from the “Pitch to the Pros” panel for his invention, the Impressor, a handheld multi-function meat tenderizing preparation tool. We will soon see Ferencik’s tool, a product he perfected while being a butcher for years, in SkyMall.
Thanks to all the inventors who participated in the 2009 Inventor’s Corner at the Home & Housewares Show. I’ve heard a lot of positive feedback from many of you, and hope you’ll join us again next year!

Here’s a riddle for everyone: what do INPEX, “Police Academy”, Mac computers and the MTV Video Music Awards have in common? The answer: they’ll all be turning twenty-five in 2009.
Yes, it’s hard to believe but, much like those 1980s staples, the Invention and New Product Exposition (INPEX) will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2009! That’s a quarter of a century of bringing inventors and companies together!
Since INPEX’s formative years during the Reagan administration, we’ve added features like the Inventor’s University, to help educate inventors on the business side of inventing; Product Reviews, allowing inventors to pitch their new product ideas to company or expert panels; even boxing matches sponsored by Everlast®!
While a lot has changed in America since the year “The Cosby Show” premiered and the L.A. Raiders won the Super Bowl, our commitment to assisting inventors in spreading the word about their inventions and new products hasn’t changed a bit. We’re working just as hard as we did back in 1984 to make INPEX the best it can be (only difference: we don’t listen to Duran Duran while we work anymore).
We invite all inventors and entrepreneurs to join us in celebrating InventHelp’s 25th annual INPEX Invention Trade Show June 24-26, 2009 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh. You can request more information about exhibiting at INPEX 2009 or call us at 888-54-INPEX.
Did you exhibit at the INPEX ‘84? If so, grab your latest invention and exhibit again – you’ll be truly amazed at how the show has evolved!

Several companies attend INPEX each year and conduct private product searches, where exhibitors present inventions for consideration in their product lines. Many of these companies also bestow INPEX awards to inventors for what they consider to be quality ideas or presentations. Recently, I posted a blog about INPEX exhibitors who received awards from The Robert Bosch Tool Corporation. Today, I’d like to post the exhibitors who received awards from Everlast and Tupperware.
Everlast has attended INPEX for three consecutive years searching for health and fitness products. Along with looking for new product ideas, Everlast, a manufacturer of sporting goods and lifestyle products, also sponsors the Black & Gold Invitational Boxing Tournament – a popular INPEX event. And, each of the past three years, Everlast has handed out an award to an INPEX exhibitor. This year that award went to:
Eli Kim, Lansdale, Pa. – Magnasizer
With benefits for conditioning and calisthenics, the Magnasizer is a portable exercise device that uses isometric build-up to create peak muscle efficiency.
Like Everlast, Tupperware made a repeat appearance at INPEX this year. For the second year in a row, Tupperware Brands Corporation, a seller of innovative household products, visited INPEX looking for the newest ideas in housewares. This included items for food storage, baking, outdoor cooking and dining, kitchen preparation, and more. The winner of Tupperware’s INPEX award was:
Inez Lee, Memphis, Tenn. – The Innovated Cake Cutter
The Innovated Cake Cutter would cut a cake equally and safely, and protect each piece until it is served. Additionally, this kid-safe invention helps keep moisture longer, ensuring that no cake is wasted.
Congratulations to both Eli and Inez! And thanks again to Everlast and Tupperware for conducting product searches at InventHelp’s INPEX Invention Show!!
