David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh

Happy Holidays, Inventors! I’ve got some up-to-the-minute INPEX news to share. We’ve just confirmed that the 2008 show will be held in the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh.

The David L. Lawrence Convention Center is an innovative facility that we’re sure will be a great home to INPEX. The Convention Center has 313,400 square feet of exhibit space and some really unique architecture. Among the major benefits of holding the show in the Convention Center is the facility’s central location in Downtown Pittsburgh.

Built in 2003, the Convention Center sits right on the Allegheny River within walking distance from many downtown businesses, restaurants, theaters and more. The Convention Center even has several balconies and terraces where you can check out beautiful views of Pittsburgh’s North Shore (home of PNC Park & Heinz Field).

The Convention Center is also notable as the WORLD’s largest “green” building (“green” meaning that it is designed to be environmentally friendly). Some of the “green” features of the facility are really interesting, and I’ll provide a little more info about them in a future blog.

We’re really excited about our new INPEX venue, and we hope you’ll join us at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in June for the 2008 Invention Show. And, even though we’re having the show at a new site, we’re still located in the Pittsburgh area  the same location where America’s Largest Invention Show has been held for the past 23 years!
