I know this is information that most of you have been waiting to hear, so without further adieu, I’m proud to announce the INPEX® 2012 Keynote Speaker….
…Kevin Harrington, chairman and founder of TVGoods, Inc.
If Kevin’s name sounds familiar, it should! He’s recently been featured as one of the investor “sharks” on ABC’s hit show, Shark Tank, produced by Mark Burnett. The show gives budding entrepreneurs the chance to pitch their products to a panel of acclaimed judges in hopes of turning their ideas into a successful business reality
Along with Kevin’s appearance on Shark Tank, he has a long and exciting history with inventions and inventors. In 1984, Kevin produced one of the industry’s first 30 minute infomercials. Since then, he has been involved with over 500 product launches that resulted in sales of over $4 billion worldwide with 20 products that reached individual sales of over $100 million.
Kevin founded Quantum International, Ltd. in the mid 1980s, which merged into National Media Corporation in 1991. Under his leadership as President, National Media reached $500 million in annual sales, distributing in over 100 countries and 20 languages. This company’s success has been chronicled in a case study at Harvard/MIT for over a decade.
Kevin was also CEO of several other entrepreneurial companies including HSN Direct, a joint venture with Home Shopping Network, in 1994 and Reliant International Media in 1997. Reliant International Media was sold in 2007.
Throughout his career, Kevin helped to establish two of the most important and recognized global networking associations: the Entrepreneur’s Organization, or EO (formally known as the Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization) and the Electronic Retailing Association, or ERA. Today, the EO has 113 chapters in 38 countries and more than 924,000 members. The ERA represents the $125 billion electronic retailing industry and is comprised of over 450 member companies and subsidiaries that use the power of electronic retailing to sell directly to consumers via television, radio, Internet and wireless media in over 100 countries worldwide.
He also recently released a book entitled “Act Now: How I Turn Ideas into Million-Dollar Products” that chronicles his life and experiences in the DRTV industry.
Kevin will speak on Wednesday morning, helping us to kick off INPEX® 2012! Then, stick around for the chance to participate in Pitch Tank, where you’ll have the opportunity to get real answers on how to market your product from Kevin and his team of experts.

I promised once I returned from Croatia, I’d let you know which American inventors won awards at INOVA 2011.
The Wrist Jockey won a gold medal, as well as The Best Invention of the Americas. The Wrist Jockey turns a 6G nano® into a wrist watch and keeps time, music and photos handy all the time. Perfect for active lifestyles, the Wrist Jockey allows access to buttons, ports and functions while it is in use.
The Easy Gauge™ won a silver medal. The Easy Gauge™ is a compact tool that accurately determines the diameter of a drill bit in seconds. Flat and small enough to fit inside a pocket, the Easy Gauge™ is semi-circular in shape with a cut-out arch that accurately sizes drill bits.
Corky Kouture won a bronze medal. Fun and frilly gift bags perfect for many gift-giving occasions, these flirty bottle-shaped bags come in a presentation box and are available in four colors: black, red, white and pink.
Skullys also won a bronze medal. This street game began some 100 years ago in the streets of New York, and has now been turned into a convenient board game. The game originates from children playing on a game board drawn in chalk on the city streets and using bottle caps as game pieces.
Handle-It won a bronze medal as well. This new utility handle makes carrying large, cumbersome items easier than ever. Whether it’s a stack of boxes, multiple items, sports gear or several pieces of luggage, Handle It can be configured with two strong woven straps (8’ L x 1″ W) and a heavy-duty handle to secure it all together and let an individual carry it with ease.
Congratulations to all of the inventors who won awards at INOVA 2011. All of these inventions are available for sale at our sister company’s website, www.inventhelpstore.com.

Hello from Zagreb, the beautiful capital city of the Republic of Croatia!
I’m blogging from INOVA in Croatia, being held at the Zagreb International Fair, one of the world’s largest expos!
Since 1971, INOVA has been a traditional national invention exhibition that displays the best of the technical inventive work in Croatia. Over the past 35 years, INOVA has brought together, promoted and presented to thousands of domestic and hundreds of foreign inventions.
I’m here representing and promoting INPEX® internationally, serving on the international jury, judging the newest inventions and presenting an award on behalf of INPEX® at the International Awards Dinner and Ceremony on Saturday.
I’ve enjoyed catching up and spending time with Neven Markovic, Secretary of the Croatian Association of Inventors and INPEX’s Croatian delegate and Andrej Skrinjar, INPEX’s International Jury Chairperson!
I’ll let you know when I return to the States who won the award presented by INPEX®!
Even though I’m overseas, our office is busy planning and selling booth space for INPEX® 2012, held June 13-15, at the Monroeville Convention Center. Call 1-888-54-INPEX to book your booth today!
