Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium

The Pittsburgh Zoo is one of only six major zoo and aquarium combinations in the United States. Located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the zoo sits on 77 acres of park land where it exhibits over 4,000 animals representing 475 species, over 70 of which are threatened or endangered. The PPG aquarium at the Pittsburgh Zoo features plenty of fun, up-close exhibits such as a crawl-through stingray tunnel, a two-story shark tank and unique revolving tanks (the first of their kind to be exhibited publicly). Pittsburgh Cultural District

The Pittsburgh Cultural District is a fourteen-square block area in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Cultural District features six theaters offering some 1,500 shows annually, as well as art galleries, restaurants and retail shops. Its landmarks include: Allegheny Riverfront Park, Benedum Center, Byham Theater, Harris Theater, Heinz Hall, O’Reilly Theater, Pittsburgh Creative and Performing Arts School, Three Rivers Arts Festival Gallery, Wood Street Galleries and the August Wilson Center for African American Culture. Built on the site of the former Homestead steel mill, the Waterfront in Homestead provides 260 acres of shopping, entertainment and dining.
